The Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) was established as part of the Local Government Reform Act, 2014 and commenced in Louth County Council in April 2014.
The committee is a statutory committee, and has statutory functions with regard to the preparation and adoption of the ‘Community’ element of the Local Economic Community Plan (LECP).
Louth Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) was selected as the Local Action Group (LAG) for County Louth and will have the ultimate responsibility for the delivery, implementation and financials for the LEADER Programme in County Louth.
Along with the LEADER Programme, the Louth LCDC also has a significant oversight role with regard to the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP) in County Louth.
